The only one without sin who preached compassion.

If you are going to follow someone, then let it be someone without sin. You couldn't ask for anyone better. Someone who preached love, compassion, and justice. That is truly a noble goal - to live that way. To strive to live a life without sin, or at least to try.

Prayer on top of mountain

Picture taken in 2016. My favorite spot at 6 o'clock in the morning to pray, on top of the mountain behind the home where I grew up. Split is a very special city; its soil is soaked with the blood of saints. Some of the greatest persecutions of Christians in history took place there.

The mountain top is reachable after a two-hour climb. In 2018, I went there with my son to pray, and like something out of a fairy tale, the fields were covered with hundreds of butterflies around us.

Angel After Prayer

2008 ~ I saw an angel (Split, Podstrana) after praying and asking for help (I was afraid). It appeared as a huge, serene figure, radiating white light, with medium-length hair, wearing what resembled a 'dress.' It was male, barefoot, and it covered me with its massive wings. As soon as I realized that what I was afraid of was something not of this world—something I could not confront—I specifically and directly asked God to send help, an angel.

I was alone, sleeping in 'my room' on the ground floor, and everything was locked. I woke up to the sound of rattling windows, as if someone was trying to get in or checking if the windows were properly shut. I felt uneasy.

But then I started hearing this noise at every window frame, and I began to think that someone was genuinely trying to break in. I thought to myself: The heavy materials are at the door. Where is the axe? What should I grab to confront this?

Then, I heard footsteps in the hallway—it was inside. I thought it was my father, but suddenly, I heard him cough upstairs on the first floor, which was locked with a key. He couldn't have been on the ground floor. At that moment, I was truly terrified because the presence felt evil, and I recognized this energy. It was not of this world. It wasn't something human that I could confront. So, I prayed to God and asked Him to send me an angel for help.

The fear was replaced by an intense serenity when, within a second, this white angelic figure (approximately 2 meters tall) appeared in the room. It approached me, sat on my bed, and bowed, wrapping me in its wings. That moment marked the last time I ever felt fear—now, I "fear" only God.

Years later, my son took a picture of me in the same room one morning, just before we left for the beach. In the spot where the angel had stood, a blue glow appeared in the photograph. No flash was used, no lights were on, and no light entered from outside.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. - Psalm 91:4

Company After Prayer

2009 ~ I prayed for company while I was in Wallonia (I was feeling 'depressed'). I went for a walk (see the picture below this text) and asked God or His angels to accompany me.

Depression overcame me as I was confronted with worldly matters—not because I desired them, but because I saw them being admired by those I loved. Someone I knew had everything: many friends, wealth, property, and overall success. Meanwhile, I was growing older and still had 'none' of these earthly achievements.

Then, He asked me a single question: Would you trade everything that person has for what you have?

I immediately said no, and in that moment, I understood. These things were all worldly, and none of them had faith. With that realization, the depression quickly lifted, and I began to enjoy the walk. As I walked and spoke, I stumbled upon a small church and felt an urge to go inside. Once inside, I had a strong feeling that I should sit down. However, I hesitated, afraid I might break the chair, so I didn't.

It was only after I got home that I noticed something remarkable. In the pictures taken where my emotions had been the strongest during that conversation, lights appeared in those very spots.

Nature will always be my favorite place for prayer, contemplation, and meditation.

D.O.C.

The Maltese cross, with its eight points, is a symbol with a rich history and deep meaning, representing the eight knightly virtues.

Loyalty. Piety. Repentance. Humility. Justice. Mercy. Sincerity. Perseverance.
The phrase beneath the cross is in Medieval Latin and symbolizes the fight against corruption and the support of the oppressed.

Like many people, I made mistakes in my youth and early adulthood, but I also did many good things. Those years shaped who I am today. For me, my faith isn't about being perfect—it's about continuing to grow.

Joyful gatherings and mutual strengthening "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up." — 1 Thessalonians 5:11 "I was glad when they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord.'" — Psalm 122:1

God delights in singing, a bit of joyful dancing, and praising His name all at once.

God delights in singing "He will rejoice over you with singing." — Zephaniah 3:17 "Sing to the Lord with grateful hearts." — Colossians 3:16

Joyful dancing and praise "Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and harp." — Psalm 149:3 "David danced before the Lord with all his might." — 2 Samuel 6:14

My Fatherland

(June 2019) - Gratitude always fills the heart when witnessing the birth of a new day.

Daniel fasting

A few pictures below were taken in 2021 during my Daniel fast for my nephew, which lasted 26 days. Daniel fasting was 21, I did 26 and instead of veggies, only veggie broth. I consumed only liquid food. In 2019, I undertook a 7-day fast for my father, consuming no food, only water.

Fasting is the act of abstaining from food to strengthen a prayer. This act is often kept private when doing so because it is between you and God - not between you and the world.

Don Poekie - Friendship Almost 20 years

Died 13 November 2015, burried 16 November along with a piece of my soul. Don Poek was given a short time to live. I prayed intensly, and in the evening in which I intensified my prayer a light showed up that has not left D.P. until the last day.

Michaela

Michaela joined the family Friday 13 March 2015 and died a horrible death in 2021. We met a week before, she was calling me while I was refilling the bird feeders on the balcony. She continued to call every day so after it was clear she had no 'owner' I invited her in. I gave her the name Michaela, feminine of Michael meaning gift from God. Because she came a day after a specific prayer.

DP was guarded by a blue light while Michaela often had white tiny lights playing with her. They would always seek her attention. One evening, as I lay in bed looking at her, I heard a presence beside me. It wasn't just a sound, but a voice that resonated with an incredible warmth. It sounded like a very kind, calm old man—much like the comforting essence of a Santa—softly saying her name. It was a voice that felt both deep and gentle at the same time, radiating a peace that surpasses all understanding.

After I buried her, I asked my mother's cat to watch over her grave. And this sweet cat, who avoids crowds, did something she never did before and never did again. She did something Michaela always did with me, she stretched out her paw to touch my face.

21 day prayer

2025. Someone in front of me had a cardiac arrest. I noticed something was wrong after his first struggle to breathe. Everything went as it should and fortunately, I didn't have to perform CPR myself, as someone else stepped in to do it.

Interestingly, this happened during a 21-day prayer journey I was following (marking the days on my calendar). I had been focusing on seven specific prayers, and one of them was:

"Give me the insight and the means to truly make a difference in the lives of those in need."

When you pray, both God and the devil are listening. God will 'coincidentally' place me where I can help someone, like on a subway that I decide to take later than usual. But the devil will send someone on my path, like someone who intentionally follows you and is under the influence of, for example, alcohol. The Holy Spirit, your gut, will give you exactly the indication of who you should help.

My dreams

Materialization of funds, confirmed by witnesses.
Prophetic dreams, confirmed by witnesses.
Warning dreams.
Symbolic dreams.

I write down almost all my dreams and experiences because they are remarkable. Not everything can be reread. Sometimes, I have ignored a warning dream—twice even—and paid the ultimate price for it.

Find them here: dreams.

Jesus Christ

The historical existence of Jesus of Nazareth is supported not only by Christian texts but also by non-Christian sources. Roman historian Tacitus (ca. 56–120 AD) mentions "Christus" who was executed under Pontius Pilate during the reign of Tiberius. Jewish historian Josephus also refers to Jesus in his writings.

Modern historians, renowned scientists and intellectuals like Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla and Leonardo da Vinci-regardless of personal belief-largely agree that Jesus was a real historical figure. Scholars across disciplines, from theology to archaeology, accept his existence as one of the best-attested facts of ancient history. Even skeptical thinkers like Bertrand Russell and Richard Dawkins have recognized Jesus as a real historical person, though they differ on his divine status. The consensus among historians-and echoed by many scientists-is that Jesus of Nazareth was a real person who lived and taught in the first century.

Both scientific findings and astronomical records-like the star linked to his birth-further support his historical presence.

Two Powerful Biblical Examples of Plant-Based Fasting

Meet Daniel, who was called a prophet in Matthew 24:15

1. Refused the royal food (Daniel 1)

Daniel and his friends remained faithful by refusing to eat the king's rich food and wine. Instead, they asked to be given only vegetables and water for ten days.
Result? God honored their choice: they appeared healthier and more nourished than those who ate from the royal table. He blessed them with wisdom, insight, and favor.

🟢 This is one of the strongest Biblical examples of a plant-based fast leading to physical and spiritual strength.

2. Interpreted dreams (Daniel 2, 4)

God gave him the ability to interpret prophetic dreams. He famously explained Nebuchadnezzar's vision of a statue — a symbol of the rise and fall of empires.

3. Survived the lions' den (Daniel 6)

Despite a decree forbidding prayer, Daniel continued to pray openly to God. He was thrown into a lions' den — but was miraculously protected.

Even wild animals did not harm him, perhaps a subtle echo of the harmony between creation and faithful obedience.

4. Received visions of the future (Daniel 7–12)

Daniel received profound prophetic visions of:

  • The four beasts (representing world empires)

  • The "Son of Man" (a Messianic figure)

  • The end times and resurrection

These visions form the foundation of much Christian eschatology.

5. Was a man of prayer and fasting

In Daniel 10, he fasted again - this time for 21 days, eating no rich food, no meat, no wine -  continuation of his plant-based discipline.

🟢 Again, a strong Biblical example of a plant-based fast leading to physical and spiritual strength.

God heard him immediately, but an angelic battle delayed the response. The archangel Michael had to intervene.

"From the first day that you set your heart to understand... your words were heard, and I have come because of your words." (Daniel 10:12)

The Original Mandate

(Genesis 1:29): Before the "Fall," the diet prescribed by God was strictly plant-based.

"I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food."

The Peaceable Kingdom

(Isaiah 11:6-9): The vision of the New Kingdom describes a return to this harmony, where even natural predators no longer kill.

"The wolf will live with the lamb... the lion will eat straw like the ox. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain."

The End of Death

(Revelation 21:4): In the New Jerusalem, the cycle of killing is permanently broken.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Concept

Nature

Dominion

Necessity

The "Excuse"

"Animals kill each other, so we can too."

"God gave us dominion over animals."

"We need meat to survive."

The Biblical Response

We are called to be "set apart" and holy, not to mimic the fallen state of nature.

Dominion means stewardship and protection, just as Christ (the Good Shepherd) has dominion over us.

Daniel and his friends proved that a diet of "vegetables and water" made them healthier than those eating the king's meat (Daniel 1:12-15).

In the Garden of Eden, we were blessed with nuts, fruits, and vegetables; there was no sin and no death. There are no slaughterhouses in the Heavens or in the New Kingdom-those exist only in Hell.

If you know that killing is a sin and a deviation from the original design, why search for excuses to justify it? It is disappointing to see Christians lean on 'human nature' or 'secular biology' as an excuse to be weak-willed rather than striving for the compassion and mercy that the New Kingdom represents. Gluttony is a sin.

In the Christian tradition, gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins. It is not merely about overeating, but also about the obsessive pursuit of culinary pleasure at the expense of what is morally right.

If you argue that ending a life (or having it ended) purely for the sake of flavor—when plenty of alternatives are available—then it indeed fits the definition of a sin where lust or pleasure is prioritized over mercy.

The "ideal" Christian life has always been one of non-violence and mercy.

The Theology of Mercy: Why the "Edenic Diet" is the Christian Ideal

1. The Restoration of the Beginning

Early Church Fathers taught that Christ's mission was to return humanity to its original, peaceful state. St. Jerome, who translated the Bible into Latin, argued that meat-eating was a temporary concession that ended with Christ:

"The eating of flesh was unknown until the Flood... but Christ has restored the end to the beginning, so that we are no longer allowed to eat flesh."

2. Concession vs. Commandment

While meat was permitted after the Flood (Genesis 9), many theologians argue this was a "concession to human hardness of heart," much like divorce (Matthew 19:8).

  • The Commandment: In Eden, God's perfect will was plants (Genesis 1:29).

  • The Concession: After the Flood, God allowed meat because humanity had become violent.

  • The Goal: As Christians, we are called to live by God's perfect will, not His concessions.

3. The Sin of Gluttony and Choice

In a world where we no longer need to kill to survive, eating meat becomes a choice based on lust (taste) rather than necessity.

  • Gluttony is the prioritizing of bodily pleasure over spiritual discipline and mercy.

  • If we have the choice between a meal of peace (plants) and a meal of suffering (slaughter), choosing the latter is a failure of Christian stewardship and self-control.

4. Living the "Lord's Prayer"

When we pray "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven," we commit to living by the rules of Heaven today.

  • Isaiah 11:6-9 promises that in the New Kingdom, "the lion shall eat straw like the ox" and "they shall not hurt or destroy."

  • If there are no slaughterhouses in the New Kingdom, a Christian's duty is to stop supporting them here on Earth.
